As adventure tourism grows, the first objective of the tourism department is to ensure safety and quality of activities in the sector. An expert committee under the leadership of Kerala Adventure Tourism Promotion Society, which works under the Department of Tourism, has been appointed to prepare safety standards in the adventure tourism sector. Under the leadership of this committee, a comprehensive Adventure Tourism Safety and Security Regulations was prepared covering 31 adventure tourism activities that are popular in Kerala today. It was issued as a government order, GO.(MS)No.18/2019 Tourism Dated: 14.10.2019 and separate Government order for Tent Camping GO.(MS)No.13/2021 Tourism Dated: 26.07.2021.
